Candice Perkins - Executive Assistant
Candice grew up in a warm, loving and respectful home with her family, in the heart of the infamous Compton, California. Being the daughter of an ambitious musician and coming from such a diversely musically inclined family, it was only natural that music would be a major part of Candice’s life and upbringing. The youngest of five children, she acquired lots of knowledge and different music styles from each of her siblings. They exposed her to anything and nearly everything, from artists/ bands like The Rolling Stones, The Temptations and David Bowie to Third Eye Blind, DJ Quick and TLC. To this day--whether it’s Alternative, Classic Rock, Rap, or Dub Step--music is simply one of the things that Candice just cannot do without.
In her senior year of high school, a new and exciting interest presented itself in the form of a semester course; Photography. Due to her mothers’ obsession of always wanting to record everything--be it snapshot or video footage—Candice’s perception of a camera was, to say the least, slanted. But with the constructive training of her teacher, Mr. David “Yak” Yakubovsky, she learned the key aspects of a camera as well as the ins-and-outs of the darkroom, with a newfound, avid fascination. From that point, she knew that photography was going to be her life’s passion.
With the love and support of her family and friends, her enthusiasm for such a prominent career path continues to grow each day with no signs of fading in the future to come. She hopes to someday become one of the top photographers known around the world, but would be equally as satisfied just having her own studio and of course, a camera in hand.
As a recent addition to ARK Entertainment Group, Candice has been able to use another of her God-given abilities, the talent of administration and organization. She is currently using that to fulfill her duty as Executive Assistant to the ARK team, while at the same time utilizing her skills of working with a camera to take photos of artists, live shows and events.
