Ele - Singer & Song Writer

Swedish sensation, Eleonore “Ele” Hansson, was born to her Swedish mother and North African father in the year 1983. At the age of eight, she learned to play the violin and use music as a form of expression. Music became very therapeutic for her later on in life, helping her through difficult times and challenges and it became clear that this was going to be a part of her future. With influences from such great artists like Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston and others, Ele found her inspiration to pursue her dream. Her career began with her letting her beautiful voice be heard. She gained experiences through singing with bands and choirs and she participated and won several talent shows. But most of the inspiration for her genre—Neo Soul/ R & B/ Jazz—came when she moved to Los Angeles and attended Musicians Institute, where she eventually recorded four of the tracks from her debut album, She, Her, Ele. Surly it was difficult to maintain life between Sweden and America but Ele managed to do so in an admirable fashion. She was getting lots of exposure with her music spinning on Swedish radio stations throughout. Swedish magazine Rodeo described her as “A hot candidate to become the new soul diva of Sweden, with her jazzy, neo sultry sound.” But even with the success of being recognized so greatly in her homeland, it was stated, “Swedish R & B would not sell very well in Sweden.” And so Ele continued her journey by aiming for the greatest heights in L.A.

It wasn’t long after when she joined the ARK Entertainment Group and was welcomed warmly into the family; they helped her to find her way. Soon her music was being played on the Lady J Show on LA Talk Radio, Titan Radio, among others. She received wonderful recognition with articles and honorable mentions and was featured in such magazines as the O.C.’s The Local Squeeze and L.A’s exclusive Melrose Heights Magazine. She performed in various well-known venues such as L.A House of Blues, B.B. King’s Blues Club, and The Key Club, just to name a few. And when she became a regular at R& B Live Hollywood, she got the opportunity to perform before big stars like Eric Benet, Aaron Hall, Ray J, and El Debarge.

In May of 2009, Ele received a huge incentive when she became back up singer for Sleepy Brown of the Dungeon Family and the Outkast crew. It wasn’t long before she was signed to his label, 13 Black Records. She traveled with Sleepy and his band, performing in a number of venues and making appearances at red carpet events.

With newfound love, new inspiration and positive influences behind her, Ele is moving onward in the music industry with no way to go but up. Expect to hear new music soon from her new EP album, Elevated Ele.
